We supply specialised equipment and psychological and social support for patients and their families at end stage of life.
Our palliative nursing care provision is provided by Milford Hospice. Palliative Care is the continuing active care of patients and their families, at a time when the medical expectation is no longer a cure. The aim is to improve the patients quality of life by maximizing pain control while relieving any other distressing symptoms.
All specialist equipment is hired by North Tipperary Hospice and delivered to patients’ homes free of charge to the family irrespective of means.
North Tipperary Hospice Movement has made contributions to palliative care equipment in Dean Maxwell Home, Roscrea, St. Conlon’s, Nenagh and the Community Hospital, Thurles.
